Writers believe in different things, some feel that they can only write when inspiration hits, or if their friends/family enjoyed what they've written so far, and even the authors that write as if their lives depend on it. And for some it does....
One big issue for writers, is the evil known as writer's block. A lot of times all you need to come out of it is a random idea. This can get the juices flowing and new ideas popping up. And the best part? You don't even have to use the random idea! Although it often leaves an interesting spin in the book....
Anywho,
Several months ago a friend shared a link during NaNoWriMo about a Panic Jar.
Basically you need any jar, box or container with a lid. On a sheet of paper write down random thoughts or ideas, let friends and family help but not show you.
Rip them into strips, fold them and put them in the jar.
When you get stuck, just reach in for an idea and try it out.....
We will post idea and panics you can use for your jar from time to time and label them Panic Jar
Here is a Panic
